There are all together ten World Heritage Sites in Nepal, out of eight cultural heritage sites, seven of them which glorify the Kathmandu Valley. This tour is especially designed to introduce all the cultural World Heritage sites of Nepal with the additional feature of spending two nights in the Natural World Heritage Site, Chitwan National Park.

This wonderful tour will take you to some of the most popular and significant places of Nepal such as Kathmandu valley, Chitwan and Lumbini. All accommodation during the tour will be at 3- to 4-star hotels and lodges available in the area. This World Heritage Tour is very famous for national and international visitors in Nepal. Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival in the Kathmandu International Airport (TIA), you will be greeted by our representative from Leisure Holidays. You will be then transferred to your respective hotel. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 02: Mountain Flight & Kathmandu Sightseeing: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swayambhu, Boudhanath
Today we will take Everest Experience Flight in the morning. Everest Mountain Flight offers a great & equal opportunity to all the travelers to come face to face with the majestic peaks including the Everest.After the one hour Mountain Flight, back to the Hotel for Breakfast. After the Breakfast, Your guided sightseeing Cultural Heritage Tour around the historical sites of Kathmandu (Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swayambhu, Boudhanath)

Kathmandu Durbar Square:

Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the important historic and tourist destinations in Nepal. It listed as one of the eight Cultural World Heritage site by UNESCO, Kathmandu Durbar Square also know as Hanuman Dhoka Square. Hanuman Dhoka Palace complex consists of a huge Royal Square exposing a tremendous variety of temples dedicated to different Hindus gods and goddess. Most of the buildings we see here date from 15th to 18th century.

Pashupatinath Temple:

Pashupatinath Temple, with its astonishing architectural beauty, stands as a symbol of faith, religion, culture and tradition. Regarded as the most sacred temple of Hindu Lord Shiva in the world . Pasupatinath temple also being the temple of Lord Shiva possessed its two-storied golden roof and silver doors and is famous for its superb architecture. The temple is situated 5 kilometer east of Kathmandu heart, on the banks of sacred Bagmati River. Only Hindu pilgrims can enter the premises of the temple. Non-Hindus can admire the beauty of the temple from the other side of the Bagmati River, on the banks of which Pashupatinath Temple stands.

Swayambhunath Stupa:

It is one of the world’s most glorious Buddhist Stupa, it is said to be 2000 years old. Visitors often call it "Monkey Temple". The main structure brick and clay which supports a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. There are the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha on the four sides of spire. Being situated seventy meter above the level of valley, the hill of Swayambhunath is a mosaic of small stupa and pagoda temples. Being located in the top level of valley, this place is famous for visitors for sightseeing.

Bouddhanath Stupa:

Bouddhanath Stupa is the largest stupa in Nepal and the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism. The stupa is located in the town of Boudha, on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu. After 1959, many Tibetans arrived and settled in Bouddhanath area. The stupa, a well-known Buddhist pilgrimage site, is included in World Heritage Cultural site list by UNESCO.

Day 03: Kathmandu Sightseeing (Patan & Bhaktapur)
After the Breakfast, you will drive with your guide for sightseeing. Today you will visit Bhaktapur and Patan. Patan is also known as Lalitpur or the "city of fine arts" . you will visit the Krishna Mandir, Hiranya Varna Mahavihar, Kumbheshwar temple, Jagatnarayan temple & the Mahabouddha temple in Patan. After sightseeing, you will drive back to hotel. overnight at hotel. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is one of the most charming Architectural showpieces of the valley as it highlights the ancient arts of Nepal. The major sightseeing places in Bhaktapur are The Durbar square , the Golden Gate, Palace of 55 windows, Bell of the barking dogs, 5 storied Nyatapole Temple, Bhairavanath Temple, Dattatrya Temple, Pujari Math etc

Bhaktapur

Bhaktapur Durbar square is listed at World Heritage Site. It is one of the most charming Architectural showpieces of the valley as it highlights the ancient arts of Nepal. The Square contains innumerable temples and other architectural showpieces like the Lion Gate, the statue of King Bhupatindra Malla, the Picture Gallery, the Golden Gate, the palaces of 55 windows, the Batsala temple and the bell of barking dog etc.

Patan Durbar Square

Patan Durbar Square is Situated in the center of Patan city this historical site boasts the varied range of unique architecture. Also known as Lalitpur this durbar square consists of ancient palaces, temples and shrines with exquisite carving. The major attractions of this site are Krishna temple with 21 golden pinnacle, Tushaty royal bath, Vishwanath temple and temple of Bhimsen with a striking golden terrace overlooking the square.

Day 04: Drive Kathmandu - Lumbini
Breakfast at Hotel, Fly (45 minutes) or Drive (7 hrs drive) from Kathmandu to Lumbini, birth place of lord Buddha, Arrive Lumbini. This pilgrimage site in southwest Nepal attracts devout Buddhists from around the world, who arrive to pay homage at the Sacred Garden where the ‘Enlightened One’ was born. A famous landmark is the Ashoka Pillar raised by the great Emperor who converted to Buddhism. Overnight at Hotel in Lumbini.

Day 05: Lumbini Sightseeing
The entire day will be spent visiting places around Lumbini.

Lumbini

Lumbini - the birth place of Buddha is the latest of the Nepal's World Heritage Sites. It is also an important architectural and historical site of the world civilization. Reaching Lumbini, we explore some of the major landmarks and monuments in Lumbini such as: Mayadevi Temple the exact site where Buddha was born, Ashoka's Pillar, erected by Emperor Ashoka (249 BC), and various other temples & monasteries. You can choose to fly back the same evening or the next day.

Day 06: Lumbini - Chitwan
After spending a beautiful morning in Lumbini, We will drive towards Chitwan that will take 6-7 hours. You will enjoy the views of enormous plains of the Terai region while driving towards Chitwan. Chitwan National Park is declared as World Heritage Site under the category of Natural Sites by UNESCO. Once reaching your destination, you will be briefed about the Jungle Safari itinerary for the next day. You can later enjoy the sunset in Rapti river and stroll around the Tharu villages.

Day 07: Chitwan National Park
Chitwan National Park has been declared by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. You will be spending the entire day in the vicinity of National Park where you will have a nature walk for bird watching, visit the elephant breeding centre, attend the presentation on flora and fauna, enjoy the elephant safari inside the community forest and many more. You may even take a bath with an elephant and learn how to wash your elephant! Don't forget take a video of your elephant-bath which will be one of the fondest memories of the lifetime.you can enjoy your evening on the banks of Rapti River. Over night at Chitwan.

Day 08: Chitwan - Kathmandu
Drive back to Kathmandu. Rest of the day is free for shopping.

Day 09: Kathmandu
You will be provided with a guide to take you to local places. You will also be taken to Patan Durbar Square, Thamel area to let you experience the rich traditional life within Kathmandu valley.

Day 10: Departure
As this is the last day of Heritage Tour, you will prepare for your departure on this day. Make sure you have got all your souvenirs in your luggage and have all the necessary documents to make it easy for the immigration officials at the International airport. You will be transferred to the airport by taxi/car. The tours around Kathmandu ends but the memories will be eternal.
