Kathmandu Lumbini Tour

Kathmandu is the economical and tourism hub of the nation. The capital city of the kingdom, it is the home for UNESCO cultural and historical sites including temples, monasteries, old palaces, museums, stupas and landmarks.

Lumbini is the sacred buddhist pilgrimage site and birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. This landmark is situated 250kms south west of Kathmandu and with the 7-8 hours of bus drive or 30min flight from Kathmandu, we can reach this holy site. Lumbini is the UNESCO World Heritage site listed in 1997. It is the popular site for buddhist pilgrims as well as Hindu pilgrims where you can discover the history of Siddhartha Gautam.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel
Upon arrival in Kathmandu airport, you will be picked up by our airport representative, meet him/her and transfer to hotel. Check in hotel, refresh and short briefing about the tour program with the guide. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu City Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast, we pick up you from the hotel and our tour program starts with the sightseeing of temples and monasteries in the Kathmandu including Pashtupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Drive back to hotel and overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 03: Drive to Lumbini, transfer to hotel
Morning after the breakfast, drive to Lumbini along trishuli river, chitwan and nawalparasi district. On the way, enjoy the beautiful panorama of the outside environment, the lifestyle of Nepali people and activities. Check in hotel and refresh. At evening free time for self exploration or rest. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 04: Sightseeing around Lumbini
Morning after breakfast, explore around the mayadevi temple, ashoka pillar, buddhist monasteries, mueseums. Back to hotel. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 05: Lumbini to Kathmandu
Morning after breakfast, we drive to Kathmandu, 7-8 hours bus drive. Check in hotel and refresh. Evening free time for self exploration around thamel and surronding. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 06: Transfer to Airport for final departure.
Morning free time, our representative will drop you to the Tribhuvan International Airport for final departure.
